“There Is Another World”: Creative Writing in Response to Divine Immersion: The Experiential Art of Nick Dong with Mushim Patricia Ikeda

There is another world, and it is in this one.” -French poet Paul Éluard.

This is a fun creative writing class, open to all, including Deaf and Blind participants.

Join us for brief, guided journaling exercises in response to meditative video clips and music from the USC Pacific Asia Museum’s exhibition Divine Immersion: The Experiential Art of Nick Dong. No previous writing experience is required.

Mushim Patricia Ikeda is a published author of poetry, essays, and creative nonfiction. She is also a well-known mindfulness meditation teacher and a core teacher at East Bay Meditation Center in Oakland, California. www.mushimikeda.com

Mushim Patricia Ikeda is a core teacher of mindfulness meditation and Buddhism at East Bay Meditation Center in Oakland, California. She is also a writer of poetry, essays, and creative nonfiction published in various arts and Buddhist anthologies and journals. East Bay Meditation Center is based in a commitment to diversity, equity, social justice, and radical inclusivity for people of all abilities.
