USC Pacific Asia Museum presents an afternoon of insightful discussions featuring the artists, curators, and creative collaborators behind the acclaimed exhibition Mythical Creatures: The Stories We Carry. Through two engaging panel discussions, attendees will explore the ideas, stories, and creative processes that brought the exhibition to life.
Part 1, Intersections of Art, Media & Technology, explores how media artists and collaborators use sound, film, engineering, and digital media to expand artistic storytelling. The panel features composer Juan Cortes Arango, filmmaker Yimeng Yuan of Departure, light sculpture artist Gautam Rangan of Four Guardians, and creative director Jim Nista, who developed the exhibition’s interactive Lily Ponds.
