Join USC PAM for a book talk exploring Savor, a memoir of the beloved late Pakistani American chef and television personality Fatima Ali.
Fatima’s star was rising rapidly when she discovered a swelling that she had near her shoulder that turned out to be a tumor, she was only 28 years old at the time. She was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and fought hard to survive. In her final act of defiance, Fatima wrote this book to share her story with the world, a family’s story that sweeps from Pakistan to Manhattan to Los Angeles, and beyond.
Chef Fatima’s mother Farezeh, and brother Mohammad will reflect on this inspiring story and share a special insight into her journey to savor every moment!
The evening will include light refreshments.
Free with cost of admission to USC Pacific Asia Museum.
The program is in partnership with the Pakistan Arts Council of USC Pacific Asia Museum
