Diwali is known as the festival of lights. The festival is named after the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that are lit outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects them from spiritual darkness. Come join us SCCM as they welcome Bollypop LA, a local Indian dance performance group that will teach children and families about the culture of India through the dance art form. After the performance, we will learn more about the celebration through art activities.
