The area now known for the Pasadena Hotel & Pool and the Ice House was once one of Pasadena’s liveliest spots for “Nite-Life.” On this walking tour, we’ll explore the Catalina Villas neighborhood and step back to a time when, within just a few blocks, you could play mini golf, go bowling, catch a film at an ornate movie palace, and spend the evening in one of several now-forgotten nightclubs – complete with dance floors, live music, or even a “Harmony Hostess.” Along the way, we’ll uncover spectacular residential gems and long-lost amusements that once lit up this eastside entertainment strip.
