The Pasadena Department of Transportation, Day One, and Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition present its 6th annual Pasadena Walktober, an annual event to get people walking in Pasadena. Whether you walk for physical health, or mental health, to meet people, to see new things, to admire our historic architecture, or simply to get things done (maybe all of the above!), we recognize and celebrate walking!
As part of this year’s Walktober, Pasadena Heritage will offer a free docent-guided tour of the historic Civic Center. Join us as we learn about fountains designed by Ernest Batchelder, Myron Hunt, and Ruth Shellhorn and the history of the buildings they were designed to complement. October’s tour will include a wide variety of water features, from historic to contemporary, designed by some of Pasadena’s best architects.
Tours last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and cover approximately 1.5 miles. Reservations are required.
