Playhouse Village sizzles this summer with the return of the beloved Jazz in the Park concert series presented by Playhouse Village Association in partnership with Playhouse Village Foundation. The free concerts will take place every Sunday in June and July from 6PM to 8PM on the Van Halen Stage at Playhouse Village Park, thanks to our sponsors Ice House Comedy Club and Pasadena Playhouse. This project is partially funded by a grant from Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts and the generous donors of Playhouse Village Foundation as a result of A Night Out In Playhouse Village. While you enjoy the music on your picnic blanket, indulge in delicious taco plates and more from Anaya’s Restaurant, or bring a picnic from your favorite local restaurant.
Featured Artists – Susie Hansen
Susie Hansen Latin Jazz Quartet – Violinist Susie Hansen and her musicians perform an infectious blend of salsa and Latin jazz that has the audience smiling and dancing. A long-time Pasadena and Los Angeles staple,, the Susie Hansen Latin Band mixes infectious Latin rhythms with jazz improvising, vocals in both Spanish and English, recognizable standards, and strong soloing from players.
