USC PAM presents guest curator and USC Roski professor Jenny Lin for an in-depth look at USC PAM’s current special exhibition Another Beautiful Country on view January 26-April 7, 2024. Dr. Lin will discuss the exhibition’s genesis and how featured artworks contribute to multivalent understandings of Chinese American identities. Weaving in familial histories and intimate tales of migration and diasporic relations, Dr. Lin invites participants to imagine another beautiful country rooted in cross-cultural sharing! Dr. Jenny Lin is Associate Professor of Critical Studies in Art and Design and Graduate Director in Curatorial Practices at University of Southern California. As a curator, writer, and art historian, she investigates contemporary art and design vis-à-vis cross-cultural relations. She is author of Above Sea: Contemporary Art, Urban Culture, and the Fashioning of Global Shanghai (Manchester University Press), and the award-winning exhibition catalogue, Picturing Global China
