Traditionally pumpkin is enjoyed closer to Thanksgiving, but in the past years more pumpkin and pumpkin spice inspired dishes and drinks have appeared on menus earlier and earlier. Here are a few pumpkin delights for you to get into the autumn vibes this year at Playhouse Village eateries.
El Portal have brought back their pumpkin soup for a limited time. Hearty, sweet and savory, it is destined to satisfy and warm the soul. This soup is available for pick-up or to enjoy in their patio and on-street dining.
Urth Caffe carries a collection of pumpkin creations. A top favorite is the pumpkin cheesecake, made with fresh pumpkin and topped with additional cinnamon and pumpkin spice. The café also has a vegan pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice latte, and pumpkin spiced waffles.
Fit Bar Superfood Café brings a healthy and superfood twist with their Pumpkin Bowl. Loaded up with natural grains, puréed pumpkin, fruits, and nuts, this combination is all parts tasty and nurturing. Fit Bar Café’s seasonal menu also features pumpkin spice smoothie and latte.
The Stand introduces their Pumpkin Pie Milkshake, bringing a festive mix to their popular vanilla custard shakes. Blended with a filling made from real pumpkin pie, and sprinkled with a hint of pumpkin spice, this is one way to shake up your pumpkin consumption.
Leberry Bakery is now taking orders for plant-based vegan pumpkin pies. Prepared with the most careful measures and love, the pies can also be made gluten-free. The bakery is also creating apple, bean, berry, peach, and sweet potato pies for holidays.
