Lunar New Year is a celebration of the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new year on the lunisolar calendar. Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit at these events in Playhouse Village!

USC Pacific Asia Museum | 46 N Los Robles Ave
Join USC Pacific Asia Museum in celebrating the year of the rabbit with a day of exciting performances and activities for the whole family on Sunday, January 22 from 11 am to 4 pm. Enjoy a traditional lion dance, storytelling, calligraphy and crafts, food trucks, free admission to the museum, and a final chance to view the special exhibition, After Modernism: Through the Lens of Wayne Thom.

Southern California Children’s Museum | 459 E Colorado Blvd
SCCM welcomes the Year of the Rabbit (or Cat!) on Saturday, January 21 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. The celebration features a lion dance performance by UCLA’s ACA Lion Dance team and crafts for families. Children will get to interact with the lion and have a Q&A with the dancers. The event activity is free with museum admission.
