National Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latinx Americans. We invite you to celebrate by supporting Hispanic/Latinx-owned businesses and other organizations honoring this time in the Village.

A wonderful way to start is to savor the flavors of the region with a meal at restaurants like El PortalEl Metate Café, Yahaira’s Cafe, Trejo’s Tacos, and Anayas. Each restaurant brings a distinct palate of flavors from different regions of Latin America. Always an added experience, be sure to try their specialties featuring passed-down recipes and preparations.

Every Thursday from September 15 – October 15, Southern California Children’s Museum will be sharing books about Hispanic/Latinx artists, trailblazers, delicious foods, and more through their bilingual storytelling and activities! (Museum admission required.)
