Lawson is best known for his appearance on season 12 of NBC’s hit series America’s GOT TALENT(2017) where he made it to the final round. Based off his stellar performance in season 12\, Lawson was invited to compete in America’s Got Talent: THE CHAMPIONS (2019) and BRITAN’S GOT TALENT: THE CHAMPIONS(2019) where he advanced to the finale after receiving the most fan votes. Lawson shot his first stand-up special\, GET TO KNOW ME\, which premiered on BET+ in 2019.

This event is free with paid admission\, discounted $3 rate for ECLD families applies. \nBio: Dennis Garcia is Chairman of the Elders Council for the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians and a longtime educator who teaches about traditional lifeways through music and presentations. His lineage comes from the Antelope Valley\, Santa Clarita Valley\, and San Fernando Valley. \nAbout the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians:\nThe citizens of the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians (Tribe) are the people of northern Los Angeles County. After thousands of years\, foreign powers began colonization in the late 1770s with the arrival of the Spanish followed by the establishment of Mexico and the United States. Despite settler colonization\, the Tribe continues to operate as a tribal community. \nThe Tribe originates in the lineages\, villages\, and cultures of the period that came before the establishment of Mission San Fernando in 1797\, from which their ancestors received the name Fernandeño during enslavement by the Spanish. The Native Americans that were taken to the Mission originally inhabited the villages originating in the Simi\, San Fernando\, Santa Clarita\, and Antelope Valleys. After the Mission period\, they became known as the Fernandeño historical Indian tribe. The Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians is comprised of the descendants of that historical tribe of Fernandeños.

DESCRIPTION:Perhaps the best place in 1943 Hollywood to see the stars is the Hollywood Canteen\, a club for servicemen staffed exclusively by those in show business. Murder mystery playwright Annie Laurence\, new in town after a devastating breakup\, definitely hopes to rub elbows with the right stars. Maybe then she can get her movie made. \nBut Hollywood proves to be more than tinsel and glamour. When despised film critic Fiona Farris is found dead in the Canteen kitchen\, Annie realizes any one of the Canteen’s luminous volunteers could be guilty of the crime. To catch the killer\, Annie falls in with Fiona’s friends\, a bitter and cynical group–each as uniquely unhappy in their life and career as Annie is in hers–that call themselves the Ambassador’s Club. \nSolving a murder in real life\, it turns out\, is a lot harder than writing one for the stage. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from them about the ancestral lands that we occupy\, native culture\, and language in this native-led storytelling and craft series for families with children 8 years and younger. \nBio: Lucia Alfaro serves as the Secretary of the FTBMI. She is a descendant of the Santa Clarita\, San Fernando\, and Antelope valleys. Her passions include protecting and preserving FTBMI homelands through her seat on the Tataviam Land Conservancy. \nAbout the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians:\nThe citizens of the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians (Tribe) are the people of northern Los Angeles County. After thousands of years\, foreign powers began colonization in the late 1770s with the arrival of the Spanish followed by the establishment of Mexico and the United States. Despite settler colonization\, the Tribe continues to operate as a tribal community. \nThe Tribe originates in the lineages\, villages\, and cultures of the period that came before the establishment of Mission San Fernando in 1797\, from which their ancestors received the name Fernandeño during enslavement by the Spanish. The Native Americans that were taken to the Mission originally inhabited the villages originating in the Simi\, San Fernando\, Santa Clarita\, and Antelope Valleys. After the Mission period\, they became known as the Fernandeño historical Indian tribe. The Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians is comprised of the descendants of that historical tribe of Fernandeños.
