DESCRIPTION:USC Pacific Asia Museum invites everyone to experiment with art materials and think like a scientist\, inspired by the special exhibition\, Cai Guo-Qiang: A Material Odyssey. Discover traditional mediums in new ways\, enjoy a special opera performance exploring the science of sound\, hear from student educators about the exhibition\, participate in storytime\, and more! This FREE program is open to all ages. \nSchedule of Activities: \n\n11:00am – 3:00pm: Experimental painting with Barnsdall Arts\n11:00am – 3:00pm: Collaborative experimentation with artist Ching Ching Cheng\n11:00am – 3:00pm: Altadena Libraries Curiosity Connection Mobile\n12:00pm: Storytime\n12:30pm: Spotlight Talk with USC Museums Student Educators\n1:00pm: Opera performance by Xiao-Ling Wang\n2:30pm: Spotlight Talk with USC Museums Student Educators\n\nTimed tickets are required for entrance to the exhibition\, with 60-minute time slots available. Reservations are highly recommended\, as limited same-day tickets are available on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nA ticket to Cai Guo-Qiang: A Material Odyssey includes access to all galleries and activities.
